Questions families ask

Can my daughter have a female teacher?

Yes. We have male and female teachers, and you choose before the trial lesson.

My child doesn’t speak Arabic. Is that OK?

Yes. Our teachers speak six languages, so the teacher starts in your child’s language and moves to Arabic step by step.

What age is right?

From age 3. The teacher finds the right level for your child in the trial lesson.

What happens in the trial lesson?

40 free minutes: the teacher gets to know your child and their level, then we suggest a starting plan with you.

How do lessons work?

Live one-to-one lessons on Zoom with the camera on, and a report after every lesson.

What do we need?

A laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a good internet connection.

Which time zone are lessons in?

Yours. You choose the days and times: mornings, evenings or weekends.

Who are you, and where is your team?

Jozour Academy is an online academy. Our teachers and supervisors are based in Egypt, Syria and Palestine, and we serve Arab and Muslim families across Europe. Our contact number is a UK number, and payments go to UK bank accounts.

If my child misses a lesson, is it made up?

Yes. We make up the lesson if you tell us at least one hour before it starts. A missed lesson without notice counts towards your plan.

Can I pause my subscription or change teacher?

Yes. You can pause your subscription in any month and change teacher at any time.

How do I pay? Do I pay before the trial?

No payment before the trial. After it, you can pay by card via Stripe, PayPal or bank transfer (IBAN).

Can lessons be recorded?

Yes, as an add-on for a small fee, so you can review the lesson with your child at home.
